School Board

The school board is a dynamic and involved board that has a passion for developing our school into the best place for our kids to learn, grow and develop into the best possible version of themselves that they can be. We have a strong focus on school improvement and creating as many opportunities for our students as possible.

The school board, in conjunction with staff, establishes a vision for the school that reflects the aspirations and needs of the community. The board can have an important influence on the direction of the school, with members bringing ideas and lending their expertise to strategic planning and community partnerships.

Our board is made up of five parent  representatives, two community representatives, two staff representatives and our principal.

This gives us a wide range of skills and experience to help direct our school in an ever changing school environment. Our current board members are:

  • Leigh Strange - Board Chair and parent rep.
  • Jo Buggee - Vice Chair and staff rep.
  • Emma Cooke - Principal.
  • Stephen Dolton - Parent rep.
  • Jo Muntz - Parent rep.
  • Kate Hartle - Parent rep.
  • Brock Williams - Parent rep.
  • Catherine Negri - Community rep.
  • Asha Verhoogt - Community rep.
  • Jo Wynne - Staff rep.

We have positions available from time to time so if you would like to get involved feel free to contact us at any point for more information. It’s a rewarding role that can have a positive and meaningful impact on your and other child’s education experience.

Bruce Rock DHS P&C

The Bruce Rock P&C Association is a small, productive network of parents who continually strive to raise much needed funds for our school to provide equipment needed to benefit its students.

The Bruce Rock P&C meets once a term at the School. All parents are welcome to attend the meetings. A major function of the P&C is to assist and support the school by providing additional resources through fundraising. The P&C also run the uniform shop at the Bruce Rock District High School.

For further information on the P&C, please contact the President - Shayna Campbell or see the Bruce Rock P&C Facebook page.
